The Ministry of Health and Wellness shapes public health policy and oversees the delivery of healthcare services across Barbados. Working in partnership with hospitals, clinics, and health professionals, the ministry ensures that Barbadians have access to quality preventive and curative health services.

Health Centres: The ministry operates health centres in every parish offering primary healthcare including wellness checks, vaccinations, maternal and child health services, chronic disease management, and health education. Many services are free or subsidised for citizens.

Disease Prevention: The ministry implements vaccination programmes, manages chronic disease registries, provides health education on nutrition and fitness, and monitors disease outbreaks to protect public health.

Mental Health Services: Confidential counselling, addiction services, and wellness programmes are available through ministry facilities across the island.
