West Indies Squad announced for T20I Series against South Africa
By The Cricket West Indies (CWI) Selection Panel has announced the squad for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) Series against South Africa, preceding the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Brandon King will serve as the interim Captain with Roston Chase as the interim Vice-Captain.
The squad includes players like Fabian Allen, Jason Holder, and Andre Fletcher. Alzarri Joseph and Sherfane Rutherford will be added if their IPL franchises don’t reach the final. Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran are rested for the series. The Lead Selector emphasized the importance of fine-tuning skills before the World Cup. Head Coach Daren Sammy aims to build momentum with returning IPL players. The series will take place at Sabina Park, Jamaica, starting on May 23rd, with tickets available online. The schedule includes three T20Is, with West Indies aiming to continue their winning streak at Sabina Park.
