Namibia all-rounder Ruben Trumpelmann Loves Barbados’ Vibe
By In a press conference at Kensington Oval today, all-rounder Ruben Trumpelmann says that this World Cup is “different to the previous ones” because of the island vibe!
Ruben Trumpelmann: Yeah, Barbados is a fantastic place. Friendly people, obviously, next to the beach is great. It’s a peaceful area. Being allowed to go around and see what everything is about it’s really awesome. I think it’s a different World Cup to the previous ones we’ve been to – the island vibe is definitely something. You must just be careful not to fall in the trap of going on too many vacations, small vacations and just stay away from the rum punch.

Absolutely, and the atmosphere on the ground as well, they love their cricket here and they build up a great atmosphere for that first game and we’re expecting probably the same tomorrow.
Ruben Trumpelmann:
Yeah, hopefully. Well, the first game’s atmosphere was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The party vibe, you can definitely feel the people enjoying it. So hopefully a lot more people turn out. Hopefully we got a few people excited about the associate cricketers and they will watch a bit more games. So, yeah, I hope we can get the stadium as full as possible.
