The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) continues to closely monitor the newly upgraded tropical depression located near 9.1N
41.9W 1225 miles/ 1970 km east-southeast of Barbados, at 5 pm today Friday 28th June 2024.
A TROPICAL STORM WATCH MAY BE ISSUED BY SATURDAY MORNING 29TH JUNE 2024.
Potential Impacts
The system is expected to affect Barbados late Sunday night, the 30th of June into Monday July 1st 2024. As a result, there is the
possibility of flash flooding and storm-force winds impacting the island during that time. Additionally, a small craft and high surf
warning are currently in effect for above-normal sea swells.
