Schedule and Format:
The tournament begins on June 2nd with hosts United States facing Canada. It features a 20-team format, with teams divided into four groups of five for the initial group stage. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 8s, followed by semi-finals and the final.

All major cricketing nations are involved, with 20 teams competing. Notably, Zimbabwe is the only Test-playing nation not to qualify.

Rules:
Matches are played in a T20 format with 20 overs per side. Each innings starts with a six-over powerplay. Matches should last three hours and 10 minutes, with specific rules regarding time intervals and over completion. The tournament introduces the “stop-clock” rule for bowling sides and allows two unsuccessful reviews per innings. In case of a tie, super overs are played, and the Duckworth Lewis Stern method is used in case of weather interruptions.
